Aylin García Soto
I'm Physics and Astronomy Ph.D. Candidate working under the mentorship of Professor Elisabeth Newton at Dartmouth College.
My research interests revolved on magntic field related activity in several kinds of stellar objects! At Dartmouth, I focus analyzing observational activity (e.g. rotational modulation, balmer line emission, etc) and properties (e.g. inclination) of M dwarfs using photometric and spectroscopic tools. My current project focuses on spin-orbit alignment discrepancies found in M dwarfs using TESS, following the Kepler dichomotmy phenomenon found in the literature.
I am also involved in several acts of service, such as community outreach at different scientific events , undergraduate and graduate mentoring, as well as science writing.
